DD Update

Hello Everyone.

I hope this post finds all the readers of it - doing well and enjoying life. I've just gotten back from a few days down computer/technology wise. We have had some virus issues, hardware issues, and just overall ICK and BLAH. Life isn't always fair and the situations we encounter sometimes take longer than we imagined it would to rectify. But- I'm back once again.

For those who know bout my young adult troubles with my daughter, still no change...but I have done my best to say she is entitled to do as she pleases now that she is 18 and not living with me - and I'm just going to move forward. Whatever happens from here is in her court and at her hand..nothing I can do about it. Now, before anyone calls me a heartless mother as her high school receptionist tried to call me...it's not that I do not care and it's not that I don't wish I could brow beat her home....it's just that I can do nothing legally..except stop this black hole her actions seem to be sinking me in. I cannot live my life sitting here crying over her..my health hasn't been the best in the past couple years and this depression over all her crap is not helping me health wise....I raised her well - taught her better....now her actions will have consequences and she will have to face those not me - just as I did back all those years ago. SO I choose to dry it up and move on. Kids are only ours for so long anyways and I've always known that. I am also NOT one of those mothers with apron strings 500 miles long. I wanted to raise independent children and I must say I have... regardless as the pain it may bring me when they decide to leap off my doorstep. Another lesson in "careful what you wish for" - which seems to have always been the motto with my youngest child.

Creating scraps and tags has been rather hard with all my hurt and anger, as I don't like to make things that show that...but I am back to finding my mojo on a happier note...well I'm looking for it at the moment and I know I will find it soon. Just need some time to remember why I love PSP and creating as much as I do. I also am looking into a new service to help my scrapping confidence and it's taking a while to get all the correspondence down. The other party is rather busy in their life and well email accounts like to eat emails...so plenty of resending going on. However, I'm hoping to having this situation rectified soon and the confidence level I need to resume listing kits for sale. I am by no means leaving the scrapping world.

My apologies to anyone who feels I did not communicate my situation well. It's not because I am avoiding anyone. I do not feel I need to communicate anything I chose not to share until I decide to share. I do tend to be a bit emotional & retreat personally, especially where my children and family are concerned. I'm a true astrological Cancer... home and hearth are my heart. My real/personal life is no one's business and if I feel the need to share I will. Like now, I've been MIA from the net for a few days which isn't like me at all - computer/hardware issues and I'm no longer a member of Facebook so it may seem like I'm not around. BUT I AM... so I am going to start posting updates about whats going on with me when I feel the need to do so on this blog - labeled updates so they are findable in my top menu.

Another note - If you wish to contact me my email is dwanadesigns@live.com and I do check it daily if the computers are running. Once email contact has been made... I do use yahoo messenger for faster contacting and it is usually always on..whether I'm at the screen or not. So please, feel free to contact me - whenever and for whatever. I also sign in and hang around this blog for the majority of the days...so it's only a matter of time before I see anything posted here. Please keep all personal information out of post on this blog, I will delete anything I feel shouldn't be accessible by my readers

and this layout came out from one of recent kits.

An Explanation

As most of you can tell by my blog dates, I have taken a month away from designing - NOT because I wanted too, but more to sort out recent months of drama that my name was not in but I sold through the business it involved.

I returned to designing a few months ago under a new screenname and design name. For personal real life reasons, I chose to walk away from my 10 year plus screenname. I had no choice but to change names in the matter, my estranged family were doing their best to cause me issues online. We are all entitled to chose the battles we fight and how those battles are fought. I chose to NOT TO FIGHT, rather stand by my beliefs and knowledge in right or wrong and move on.

Before this change, I was a forum moderator for an artist, a script tester for the artist's main customer service people - who also have their own digital design business. For the better part of nine months, I devoted ALL MY TIME AND EFFORTS to JUST THESE PEOPLE! I did my best to cover for other team members when their lives called for them to be away from computers and never once did I complain about it. I DID voice my opinion when certain team members were taking advantage of my good nature. I've been used and screwed over like many within the PSP Community. Standing up for myself is all I have to combat it.
Short story of drama is I had to make a decision about what online activities I stayed involved with because of personal life and being a college student at my age. Yes, I hated making the decision and yes it may have taken me a little longer than should have to make the decision, but it broke my heart to give up my position in the artist forum - was my favorite artist and we all know how we can feel about our favorite tube artist. Well, the response I received from the people I trusted and believed in was "ALL YOUR SERVICES ARE NO LONGER NEEDED" I stepped down from moderator - not everything I was involved in. But their response caused me to walk away from everything I was doing online because they had a hand in everything I was doing. I was making friendships I thought - apparently I wasn't afforded the same benefits they felt they were owed or due!

When I returned to designing, I signed with a man and his company to sell the kits I design from scripts, templates, and various other CU resources that I have either earned, won, or purchased myself. These prior individuals decided to contact me via email and attempt to bully me into NOT USING their scripts I earned fair and square. I contacted the business I was selling through since the products were in their store and was instructed to follow the business chain of command regarding the accusations. I spent two entire days doing nothing but screen printing EACH AND EVERY SINGLE EMAIL I EVER RECEIVED FROM these prior people. And by that capitalized font - I mean ALL ORIGINAL EMAILS WITH ORIGINAL FILES AND INSTRUCTIONS INTACT! I screen printed the blogs with my name and link under SCRIPT TESTER! I was then instructed to email all to company and it would forwarded to company attorney on my behalf with my response. Needless to say, the man, the general manager, and the company all turned out to be lies. There was no company attorney and I was not informed of the lies until this past month. The information I was giving about being lied to by the no longer present company is what set this post and my MIA'ness this past month. Since it was not properly addressed as a business should address business problems...I am addressing my portion now.

I have always been TOU complaint unless I have permissions to do otherwise, and for the record I hold a couple of special permissions I do not have to divulge. The designers who gave them know they gave them to me and have seen my finished work before it was listed to be sold just incase they wanted me to do something differently. And both designers have praised my TOU complaintness -- and their view of me and my creations means more to me than those prior peoples view. I will continue to design with ANY AND ALL legally obtained CU resources I own. I WILL NOT BE BULLIED nor did I blatantly disregard their response. I responded immediately and have the saved file to share if they are interested in seeing it. They have my email address and can request it there ONLY. I currently am listed in three stores and I will handle any business I need to handle from now on. I trust the people I currently am involved with, but feel it is my duty especially after prior treatment to address my business myself.

Now - stop stalking my creations because no amount of harassing me is going to change what I am doing!

As you all know - I joined the Heartbeatz Creations blogtrain back at the beginning of the month where the theme was Ice Cold Steampunk. I made a FTU mini kit [that is posted on my blog] but it was my first time designing with anything steampunk, so I did some googling around to see what this steampunk was. I got lost in hours of reading and surfing from one cool thing to another, thus my newest obsession was born - Steampunk themed kits.

This is my very first PTU Steampunk kit - it also includes an element that is the end results of my very first FS/TS CU Template. I saw a picture on the internet of a necklace with steampunk charms, so I replicated one of the charms in psd layers :)

I know Labor Day is just around the bend but it is more of a backyard bbq for my family

rather than a celebrated holiday. This is not to say we don't observe Labor Day, we do just not in the go all out bang up celebration style.

So, my attentions have turned towards fall and halloween...oh yea!! halloween...I love this holiday!! It always brings out so many creative styles and it's just around the bend too!

I am Dwana of D'wana Designs,

however I do not worry over the way I design the headers...Dwana Designs works just fine for me. The name D'wana Designs comes from a joke around my house..we often say to one another "Da wanna design now?" hence Dwana Designs.

What does Dwana design?

I design scrap kits, tagger & full size, also share templates for tags and various resources for the tagger to make a signature tag with. Now, I am not as fast as many of the scappers I see designing in the PSP community however I am persistent! I love to design and will continue on regardless as to what must be acheived to do so. I am currently learning how to create scripts of my own to sell in the psp community.

On this blog, you will find freebies as well as advertisements for my PTU items and probably some random babbling from me. The items will begin to compile soon, so be on the lookout!
